Came here randomly before having dessert nearby.It was quite gloomy upstairs and the air conditioning was extremely cold.I was intrigued why it was called Bird and Basket and not The Birdcage or Bird and Cage because there were more bird cages used as decor than baskets .Just ordered two items.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Chinese radish puffs:The chinese radish in the middle was very bitter and salty with high MSG content.The pastry had so much lard in it that you could smell.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Rice rolls with sakura shrimp:The concept of this was good but they ruined the sakura shrimps because they have been deep fried to the point that they tastes bitter.★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★Chili oil:Had to ask for it twice!★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★

Had a light lunch with a friend. Thankfully didn't have to wait for a table and there is an English menu with a few meatfree options.I was looking forward to trying the seafood wasabi dumplings, but sadly they don't appear to be on the menu anymoreSo instead, we had mushroom and truffle steamed dumplings, panfried prawn yuba rolls, prawn and vegetable steamed dumplings, choi sum with oyster sauce and Shanghaistyle cucumber and fungus salad.Mushroom and truffle dumplings were delicious. Nice taste of the truffles came through, but the skins were quite sticky so were difficult to eat. My companion loved these the most, however, and ordered another serving. Prawn and vegetable dumplings were good, infused with coriander.The prawn yuba rolls were my favourite. I'm a big fan of yuba and these had a nice, delicate crunchiness and were not too oily.Service was friendly and they were very helpful. I would come here again.
既保留傳統但又不失革新的點喜來今天晚上放工,後馬上到太子點喜來享用晚宴。
這裡吃的東西跟一般酒樓沒有分別,同樣有點心和蒸飯,但地方比酒樓清潔和整齊。
較特別的是,該店的選用塑膠咖啡杯,揉合了西式的飲用餐具,不可謂不算是突破傳統。
章魚雞粒煲仔飯與北菇滑雞煲仔飯蒸得很香口,而且並不油膩,該煲仔用料新鮮,而酸薑皮蛋的擺放十分講究,色香味俱全,只是價格較高。
今日想食點心,去到一點心拎飛都話起碼要等一個鐘,由於太肚餓,所以就search下太子仲有咩點心可以食,又唔想去傳統既茶樓飲茶,結果search到 點喜來。
見到openrice既食評大家對佢好壞參半,決定要自己親自試下,個個人口味唔同嘛鋪頭有好多茶葉賣,但你坐低食野,收$3位茶錢,茶無得比你選擇之餘,仲係用膠咖啡杯,飲完一杯佢再係保暖壺針比你鍾意嘆茶既朋友,呢到就唔係甘岩你啦。
相反,想飲汽水奶茶呢到反而有@@2個人,試左7個點心海皇薄罉 ,做到好薄,有海鮮味,賣相精美,8件$26雲耳叉燒腸,皮做得幾靚,透視到面既餡,雲耳唔太多,唔係好食到。
不過食腸粉個皮靚係最重要流沙奶皇包,個包好軟熟,流沙非常出色薑汁千層糕,味道交足貨,非常有薑味,熱辣辣既千層糕亦好Q另外飲茶常食既燒賣,鳳爪,雞札都係正常水準,沒有特別驚喜
下午茶時間又唔想吃茶記,行過點喜來又未試過這間,就走上去試試,上到去只得兩枱客,而我一個人都要我坐單邊兩人位,大把窗口四人位都唔比人坐真係有點怪,無所為只想快快食完走.看見點心紙有下午茶有特價點心,比完本價錢平五六元,咁就叫了三個點心試試.牛肉腸,即拉腸粉夠熱,粉皮夠薄又滑,而且牛肉餡料又夠,好食!!!!蝦餃,睇落幾大粒,食落幾爽口,蝦肉彈牙,特價十八元食得過.......潮州粉果,想唔到最平,最有驚喜,起初以為同外邊的一樣,都是普通花生,沙葛餡,但食落個餡全部好細粒,好好味,皮又唔太厚,可以加點辣椒油重好味呀!!!!!!
