Lunch in the Lai Chi Kok area as boyfriend and I had planned to go explore the nearby Chinese New Year market at D2 Place. We looked up what was new and this popped up so we gave it a try. And so we chose Shrimp Kitchen.Located in an industrial building, the place was fairly busy. It was oddly decorated as well with one area that seemed to be a shop selling items like noodles and canned goods.Menu is in Chinese only. There is no 10% service charge. During lunch time they offer lunch sets which include a standard drink with options for upgrades. Lunch sets were in the form of Taiwanese rice or noodles or Taiwanese hotpot for one.Boyfriend upgraded his drink to a milk tea boba. A bit of a mistake as it was terrible. Watery and bland. There wasn't any tea taste and the boba was just plain bland. Glad I didn't upgrade. Definitely save your money on that.Boyfriend ordered the soy wine steamed chicken with rice set ($56). This was needless to say ... very small portions. Even I gasped when I saw it and felt a little guilty taking a piece as there goes half the serving! But it was good. The chicken was moist and tender. The flavor was intense. But there were pickles than chicken. That's a small small portion size even for me. Boyfriend must have been starving.I had the Taiwanese beef noodle ($68). Again the portion size was small. There was only a tiny bit of noodles (good as they were). The soup was more like a Hong Kong style beef brisket soup than the Taiwanese style. But the beef was good. Very flavorful and tender. Most interesting is they added kale as the vegetable. I don't know if any place offers that.Food tasted good but portions were very small. Especially for the price we were paying. I think I get bigger portions in Central for this price. Thus, we probably won't be back.

蝦棧休業兩年後,早前在荔枝角香港工業中心重新出發,知道消息後當然要立即捧場。
店子位於2樓,出電梯向右手邊方向行到尾,店外光亮的霓虹招牌便會向你招手。
新店面積是以前的三數倍,坐得更舒適自在。
大勢所趨,這裡也是以QR code落單,既可減省人手、查閱帳單亦更一目了然。
午市的選擇也不少,有台式一鍋鍋系列、石燒鐵板、咖喱系列、新竹米粉、台式蔥油雞飯、台式土白雞飯、魯肉飯、古早牛肉麵等等,我們就選了台式一鍋鍋系列,一人一鍋、方便又合心。
台式一鍋鍋系列($62),包一款湯底、三款餸、一款麵及一杯熱飲;追加餸料,每款只須另加$8;多心的我們,自然想一次過試多幾款,就各自叫添加了幾款不同餸料,便完成這個大雜燴,相當壯觀。
湯底則選了濃味番茄湯及古早堅魚湯。
食材包括:羽衣甘藍、生蘇菜、水蓮菜、豬肉片、台式手工餃、貢丸、福州丸湯包、蛋餃、魚豆腐、澎湖花枝丸、台灣鴨血、米血糕及台灣刀削麵。
當中很多款均由台灣直接入口,像生蘇菜(不常有),葉瓣的尖端愈蜷曲、顏色愈青綠、代表愈鮮嫩愈爽脆;正宗來自台灣的水蓮菜,生長在湖水中,帶有淡淡的蓮花香,爽脆鮮嫩,切記不要淥得過久;蛋餃是以蛋皮包裹豬肉餡,聽説是台灣人最愛的火鍋料之一;米血糕外型有點似芝麻糕,煮熟後軟糯煙韌卻不糊爛,還帶點Q彈,聽說還非常清潤滋補,值得一試;魚豆腐口感有點似冰豆腐,內裡有很多孔隙,吃起來有彈性又入味;台灣刀削麵煙韌有嚼勁。
跟餐加5元,便可將普通飲品改為台式特飲,當然照加啦!古早冬瓜茶~帶焦糖香,滋潤好喝,在這寒冷又乾燥的日子,真係一杯在手便暖在心。
四季春果茶~四季春茶底加上水蜜桃、百香果等果汁調製而成,茶香加果香,芳香怡神。
最後加多一份甜品,黑糖手工花生麻薯~($38),餡料係粒粒煙韌香脆的花生,甜度適中;最適合配一杯熱飲料,一凍一熱在口腔中交融,很捧!最後要提一提這個「秘製辣椒油」,辣中帶香,層次豐富;令人越食越想食,老婆真係食上癮,據說好快有得賣,好辣之人不要錯過。

上星期六約左班朋友食飯,上網就搵左附近嘅蝦棧🦐,好似最近先搬黎,店員介紹咗招牌奶油🦐🥘煲, 好多蝦膏呀😋 又有好香嘅奶油味😍另外仲有點左醉雞卷🌯(起晒骨,一啖咬落去,濃濃嘅酒味,好入味), 月亮蝦餅🦐(食過好多泰式越式,lee個蝦餅好特別)醉鴨舌(又係好濃郁嘅酒味,超入味) 台式香腸(好特別有3隻色),蔥油雞(隻雞好滑,一d都唔老), 重點推介火焰雪山焗加州鱸魚🐟廚師表演幫我地開埋條魚,魚肉超新鮮 好juicy, 鹽焗雞腳, 羽衣甘藍, 椒鹽豆腐 個個菜實在冇一樣唔好食😋😋
晚市重開, 文迪繼續在每星期有一天是返八放五, 兩口子就可以在這天一起吃晚餐. 是晚就來到香工的蝦棧, 當然, 最大原因是方便我飯後繼續工作.晚上的香工, 人流很小, 這區過了六點, 大家也爭相離開. 看來, 蝦棧真的要把昔日的客源帶來, 才能為這裡添上旺氣.招牌台式蔥油雞 $138: 8.5分, 最喜歡的自然是招牌台式蔥油雞, 雞肉肉質很嫩滑, 肉汁豐富, 很入味, 無論是黑肉跟白肉, 也是令人滿意. 雞肉跟面頭的蒜粒同吃, 層次感更為豐富. 喜歡的話, 還可以點上蔥油, 不過我們覺得也不太需要呢.台式炒米粉 $78: 8分, 有台式炒米粉吃, 文迪就不會錯過. 米粉炒得很乾身, 不會太油膩, 伴上肉碎同吃, 很惹味.古早冬瓜茶 $25: 8.5分, 也來杯經典的台式飲品, 古早冬瓜茶, 茶香醇厚, 還有微甜的冬瓜味道.三色芋圓仙草凍 $38: 8分, 最後就來客三色芋圓仙草凍作甜品, 吃完比較濃味的菜式, 這客仙草凍就最合適, 加上Q彈的三色芋圓, 很甜蜜.這年來, 大家都很難過. 希望蝦棧能夠盡快有更多客人前來, 畢竟, 這裡是有水準的地方.
年幾前係太子花園街舊店食過,佢地嘅蝦煲,招牌蔥油雞真係非常之好味,係香港真係搵唔到第二間餐廳有得食,至從佢地舊店無做之後,真係非常之可惜,突然有一日係Facebook 見到蝦棧專頁,佢地終於重開,終於有好嘢食喇!今日食返招牌蔥油雞飯,味道依然一樣,水準依然keep住,真係好好味!原先諗住叫埋奶油蝦,原來宜家餐廳營業時間做到6點,老闆話如果要食蝦煲嘅話要早一日預訂。
限聚令過後一定會搵一日夜晚再黎食過😋
