平日下午茶時間到餐廳,裏內播放的音樂很奇怪,一時是歌,一時是電視廣告,沒有令人放鬆感覺。
進店時服務生 (或是老闆?) 在打瞌睡,沒有打過一句招呼,很冷淡,不是進入小小咖啡店時所期待的感覺,何況店內都沒人... 點了朱古力丹麥酥和蘋果酥,加一杯咖啡,不如這裏的圖所指買咖啡加錢買麵包,而是買咖啡加麵包減4蚊。
食物很一般,吃落去沒有很新鮮之餘,好像連鎖咖啡店更勝一籌...加上服務生手機傳來的聲音,不知道是打機還是睇片,整個感覺沒有想讓我要再回來... 後來更有很大聲的掉箱聲、關雪櫃門聲,讓我覺得我是在阻礙他享用他的私人空間.. 那不如把門口的牌子轉成Closed吧!
The cafe is located in Happy Valley. I got to know it from Instagram. I was attracted to its Signature Cheese Bun. We went to the one in Wan Chai but it was closed down. 😞 lucky to have found it here.We ordered a simple croissant 🥐 and the Signature Cheese Bun. Had hot latte with an ice tea. Drinks were simple. But I love the bun and the croissant. Croissant is heated up and it melts in the mouth. 😋* slight comment on the space, if there is slightly more space would be great as it will be a good place to hangout and chill. At the moment there are only two small tables inside which can sit 6 person and one table outside for 2. 😅Aj will be back ❤️
Guschlbauer is a bakery from Austria. Popular for their cheese bread, it opened two bakeries in Hong Kong but out of no where, they both suddenly closed. I always thought the place was odd as their signature cheese bread was never to be found on the official Austrian website. It made me wonder if it was an Asian exclusive as this often happens.Much to my surprise on my way to the bank, I found a new bakery had opened in my residential area. And that bakery was Guschlbauer! It was back!The bakery is smaller with a very small display of baked goods. A good amount of space offers seating. They also have outdoor seating as well.They offer specials during afternoon tea time where you can order a coffee or tea and get a few dollars off from selected pastries. Menu is in English only. All baked goods are also in English only. There is no 10% service charge.I decided to go here for lunch. I ordered a latte ($34). The coffee was not that great. But it did come with a crunchy oatmeal cookie that was pretty good.I chose a Spinach and egg brioche ($18, originally $24) though it looked more like a quiche. If you eat in, they will heat it up for you so this was pretty delicious!!The pastry was not too thick and solid enough to hold the filling well. The filling had a nice soft texture. The combination of spinach and tomato was good.Bakery items were pretty good and wifi worked great! Seating was comfy chairs. I'd be back.
