Interestingly off the 'beaten path' but most of the staff seem to speak English. Rather helpful lot also. I ordered a chicken version of WahDanNgoYukFan, (wahDanGaiFan) to see the skill level. Interesting attempt, but I think they need more practice. To be frank: The resulting dish was barely acceptable from a taste perspective due to the choice of 'base'. And I am sure an egg was used as I discovered part of a shell annealed to a piece of chicken (amusing; but not serious). So, in this respect it was not 'wah' (slippery). It was likely the egg was used to coat the chicken making it a deepfried layer of egg instead. However, it was disappointing that so much reliance was placed on cream of corn soup (rather salty and with a hearty concentration of cornstarch: It was likely C________) as the base. If one ingredient can destroy a meal it is this. And any chef worth their salt should know this. The fact that the chicken was deep fried was fine, and did not detract form the taste; perhaps even adding a bit to the textural experience. I would have recommended using a typical rich (inhouse) kitchen soup base without all the cornstarch and salt.I would even venture to say this would be unsurprising if the entree were to cost under $30 which was not the case here)

今之叫4個餸..有埋湯~~叫左個XO帶子炒西蘭花~帶子食得出係新鮮西蘭花爽脆加點XO醬~好野味~!!!叫左個西檸雞~BASIC餸菜~炸得佢脆卜..熱辣辣...加埋檸汁..送飯!!正~~~like~!!叫左個瑤柱蠔皇琵琶豆腐!!我地好鐘意~...有瑤柱拌豆腐...入口滑溜溜..味道香濃~~我地係咁搶住食囉...不過份糧都幾多...其實唔駛爭都夠分~仲有個脆皮冰梅骨應該係金沙骨個類....鐘意"損"骨可試~~甜甜地..幾易入口..waiter都幾好人...有耐性...仲介紹咩餸好食~~傾傾下先知..廚師原來係酒店出黎~~唔怪之得...啦...水準次次都好穩定..今次4個人去..4個都讚4個人4個餸有下次~~不過今次唔記得影相...下次去...補返~~~
到了荃灣後來到呢間新餐廳飲下午茶.皆因新開張,環境較大.全店以紫色作設計.大部份都是卡位.下午茶.以粉麵小食為主.服務不過不失.不會熱情.但亦不會罵人.我選了沙津,奶油多28元.加特飲紅豆冰8元.紅豆冰.冰不是太多,才突顯出奶味.花奶味道濃.至於紅豆已煲至熔爛.沒有咬口.亦沒有紅豆香.但不會太甜.奶油多.沙律.沙律很差.菜的葉已燶,什至全碟沙律也帶酸味.味道太差.我放棄了一半.奶油多厚厚麵包.硬硬的,入口只屬微暖.不知是否我味覺有問題,連煉奶我亦不覺香口.奶味淡.亦不甜...但飽可食完.埋單36元應無下次.因為新店而言.衛生亦一般.若我詳盡講.呢篇食評不會登.
又有新餐廳,即管走入去試試。
原來下午茶做到六點半,可以當埋晚餐食,Very Good!下午茶可選迷你粉麵飯,配兩款小配料。
揀中了星洲炒米,是有點辣,卻不香,風味一般。
配了魚肉燒賣,粉很多,腸仔則起碼是熱,普通。
杯凍啡反而OK,至少不會酸。
最近荃灣大河道有新餐廳開業,名為翔發餐廳,地方都幾大,趁午飯時來這裡一試。
滑蛋粟米斑腩飯,魚塊撲上生粉炸過,沒有吸入過多獻汁者,外表口感微脆,獻汁濃度合適,味道不俗,飯粒正常好吃。
凍奶茶,茶味輕柔不澀口,奶味足夠,雖然溶冰後甜度欠佳,但整體是ok的。
今天是餐廳試業的第三天,環境不錯,座位闊落,服務頗佳。
